Be curious for the unknown
But know your boundaries
No matter where you from
No matter where you are
Feel the fear of the wild world
It also named nature
Control your desire
Let your voice be heard
Learn from your mistakes
Before your next sorrow
No one can see the future
No one gives the future
Keep healthy
Keep alive
Every healthy day is a gift
That gives you endless possibilities
Life is short
Life is fragile
Cherish the people around you now
And cherish being alive

My hometown is Wuhan, China, which is also the first city of the outbreak of the coronavirus. The time of it's beginning was very close to the Chinese new year. One tradition in Chinese culture is to play a card game that originated in Wuhan and is called "Fight The Landlord" with families and friends during the New Year festival.
Unluckily, people can't get together with their families and friends this year(2020). That has a big effect on society. The meaning behind the card game. Represents taking calculated risks from different decisions you make. The right or wrong decision will lead you to a happy or sad end. That is what I point out in my manifesto. Different decisions in your life will lead you to different ends. Also, we can see human greed from the game, but sometimes it's better to just keep what we have and cherish that.
Process
Here are the Sketches I did before making the actual digital work.
This is the card design I had at the very beginning, it's very messy and basically just shows the idea of the theme I want to give.
This is the showcase area I was thinking about at the very beginning, I was planning to show a place where people can actually sit down and play with the cards. Also have a large poster of my manifesto on the wall. The experience I want people to have here is just the environment of Chinese people playing the Fight the Landlord game.
Here are some basic sketches I was planning to put on the cards.
